Born:  February 9, 1981 in Houston, Texas.

Residence: Boulder, Colorado.

Education:  BA in History from Texas A&M University, College Station, Tx. Graduated December 2003.

Coach: Cliff English

Athletic Background:  Other than some Little League baseball, triathlon is it. I was always active, but I did little in terms of organized sports.

First Triathlon:  Wool Capitol Triathlon in San Angelo, Tx. August 2000.

First Long Course Triathlon:  Ironman California, May 2001.

Favorite Race:  Ironman Hawai'i and Challenge Wanaka.

Favorite Workout:  Any ride or run with long climbs in the mountains.

Least Favorite Workout: Any indoor trainer ride. Bikes are meant to be ridden.

Favorite Food:  Anything from Goode Company Taqueria in Houston, Texas or Mi Cocina in College Station, Texas. Outside of that, I eat a lot of burittos.

Favorite athlete:  My Grandfather, who passed away in May 2007.
